Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon (* 1957).
Karlheinz Bourdon took a degree in mechanical engineering, majoring in automotive engineering, at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen in 1985. Thereafter, he worked and gained a Ph.D. at the RWTH's Institute for Plastics Processing.
From 1990 to 1992, he headed the Systems Technology unit at the then Krauss-Maffei, now KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, Munich.
In 1992, Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon joined Ferromatik Milacron Maschinenbau GmbH, Malterdingen, as design and development manager. In 1996, he was appointed production manager, and from 1998 to 1999 plant manager at the company. In 2000, he became managing director of Ferromatik Milacron Maschinenbau GmbH. From 2001, Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon was appointed Senior Managing Director Plastics Machinery Europe at Milacron Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
In 2003, as President Global Plastics Machinery, he took over worldwide responsibility for Milacron's injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion machinery activities. In 2004, he was appointed Corporate Officer.
From December 2000 to May 2007, he also served on the board of the Südwestmetall employer association in Stuttgart. From 2003 to 2007, he has been chairman of the Freiburg district group and a member of the full board of Südwestmetall.
In February 2008, he became member of the board of management of KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH and a member of the company's Executive Committee.
