Munich, December 17, 2009 – A new management team will ensure that the Munich arm of KraussMaffei’s Extrusion division will react even faster and more flexibly to market demands. The new structure closely reflects customer needs, with activities organized even more clearly by product group.
Andreas Kessler (34) takes over as General Sales Manager for Munich Extrusion with immediate effect. He now has overall responsibility for order and sales activities for this division’s German and international subsidiaries. Andreas Kessler has been a high-achieving member of the KraussMaffei sales team for almost ten years. In 2000, he moved to Shanghai to look after customers in China and other parts of Asia. In 2003, he was appointed head of Extrusion sales in Asia/Oceania, this time based at the company’s Munich headquarters. Born in Bremen, Andreas Kessler’s business training and background are in bulk sales and exports. In his new function as General Sales Manager for Extrusion Munich, he will be working closely with Ralf J. Dahl who holds the same post for the Hanover arm of KraussMaffei Berstorff.
Michael Hofhus (53) has taken over as Product Group Manager in Munich for Pipe Extrusion. He is responsible for the success of sales and marketing activities for the company’s whole range of pipe extrusion machinery. His management responsibilities also cover die engineering, project planning, process engineering and the Pipe Extrusion TechCenter. He took a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur in production technology and since then he has worked in the rubber and plastics industry. Since 1980, he has held posts i.a. with Dunlop AG and Schnicks GmbH, a subsidiary of Schüco KG. He joined KraussMaffei’s Extrusion division in 2003, where has been Area Sales Manager for Eastern Europe since 2007.
Peter Oswald (54) now heads up the Profile Extrusion product group, with responsibility for sales and marketing activities for the company’s whole range of pipe extrusion machinery, including project planning, process engineering and the product group’s TechCenter. Peter Oswald has worked in the Extrusion industry for almost three decades – since taking a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur in plastics technology from the FH Rosenheim. He had a successful track record with several manufacturers of profiles and extrusion dies in Germany and the UK, before joining KraussMaffei’s Extrusion division in 2001 to work in product management and sales. Since October 2009, he has been Area Sales Manager for Europe.
