One of the most recent innovations is the Z-toggle in KraussMaffei's all-electric injection moulding machine. The kinematics of the patented Z-toggle result in an almost perfect clamp speed profile. This means fast movements and fast clamp force build-up and release. Motor power is converted directly and with great precision into mould movements via a worm gear. Thanks to the Z-toggle clamp, KraussMaffei all-electric machines have extremely short dry run times.
