Munich, October 15, 2008 - KraussMaffei has expanded the application range of its ClassiX injection moulding machine series with the launch of the 350-tonne ClassiX machine - available immediately. KraussMaffei's ClassiX series (35 to 350 tonnes) is a range of flexible, reliable injection moulding machines with an extremely attractive price/performance ratio. ClassiX machines can be configured as application-specific machines using add-on options from KraussMaffei's standard CX option catalogue. They are suitable for all production tasks that do not require a highly customized machine. Furthermore, they can be combined with the LRX series of linear robots to yield highly versatile production cells for a wide range of applications.
The hydraulic ClassiX series provides a modular platform as a flexible basis for configuring injection moulding solutions that combine product quality and productivity with economy. The shorter clamp and compact machine frees up space on the production floor. The cantilevered clamp is accessible from three sides and allows easy collection and transport of the finished parts.
High performance and low costs
The ClassiX series includes the right injection unit with screws optimized for each different production task. The wide choice of clamp and injection unit combinations makes it possible to configure a machine to meet specific production requirements. With their energy-saving, modular drive concept, the ClassiX are capable of sustained high performance. For every working point, exactly the required volume of oil at the right pressure is made available. The result is high output and low power costs.
All ClassiX machines operate under the operator-friendly, error-resistant MC 5 control. Hallmarks of the user interface are clarity and easy understanding; the operator is not confronted with superfluous information. There are also extensive functions for process monitoring and data capture and evaluation.
